Jack Catterall has told talkSPORT that he's now set his sights on a fight with Teofimo Lopez. The super-lightweight star won his rematch with Josh Taylor in impressive fashion on Saturday night . Despite many feeling he also deserved to win their controversial first fight two years ago, in which he was surprisingly handed a defeat by the judges, Catterall was again confident he'd won when the final bell rang.

"I was confident I did more than enough and confident I won the fight," he told talkSPORT Breakfast on Monday. "That being said, two years ago I was in that same position. I thought I'd done more than enough in the first fight and it went against me.



"You just never know, but I was confident I won the fight and obviously I got the decision on Saturday so I was over the moon with it. "We treated this fight as a totally separate fight. You've gotta put that fight from two years ago aside and we knew Josh was gonna turn up.

"He's a tremendous fighter, former undisputed world champion, and we expected a tough fight. "But we stuck to what we knew, stuck to the game plan. "I always believed in my heart of hearts I could beat him and it was just a case of getting that opportunity and what an opportunity it was.
