AN 80s mega star is heading for Glasgow where she's kicking off her farewell tour. Best known for Girls Just Want to Have Fun and being the mastermind behind the music in stage show Kinky Boots , the star has one of the most recognisable voices in music. 2 The 80s icon is heading for Glasgow 2 Cyndi was recently honoured at the famous LA Chinese Theatre And now Cyndi Lauper is playing the Ovo Hydro as she announces a string of UK dates .

The US singer shot to fame in the 1980s with a brilliant pop sound and quirky fashion sense. And she's since released 10 albums and is a Grammy, Emmy and Tony Award-winner. She's titled the shows, which start in Scotland in February, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour and it's the performer's first major run in a decade.

Throughout the tour, Lauper will be joined by special guests to be revealed at a later date.
