A THRIFT store enthusiast has shared how she made over $400 on a glass item she found. YouTuber Yvon Thrifty Rich from Colorado regularly takes to the streaming platform to share her latest finds. Not only does she impress with her recent hauls, but Yvon shares the price that she flipped them for on eBay .

In one video , she shared how a glass hand scooped her hundreds of dollars. And the even better news was that she had another at home. "I found two of these at $3.



99 a piece," Yvon told viewers. She showed off the listing for one of the glass hands she managed to sell on eBay. The other had a chip in it so she plans to upcycle it rather than try and sell it.

However, despite that minor setback, the glass hand without the chip sold for $425. It was made out of French Sabino Glass and was hand-signed and in the style of French Opalescence. It is simultaneously blue, white, and colorless, in typical opalescence fashion.

Sabino glass was made in Paris by Marius Ernest Sabino in the Art Deco period of the 1920s. While its production was halted during the Second World War, it started up again in the 1960s and it was bought in the 70s by the Sabino Crystal Company, according to The Courant . Despite the move to Houston, Texas, the glass continues to be made in France and is still marked or etched as a way to verify that it is legitimate Sabino glass.
