Health farms are not usually a place I frequent. Necking wheat grass shots, sweating into infrared body wraps and adhering to vows of silence or tech-detoxing are not usually my vibe, and when the phrase “health farm” is uttered in my vicinity, an itinerary with these tasks on it is conjured to mind. If I am going to take a break away in Ireland, I am more likely to be found swimming off the Aran Islands or doing some glitter-coated partying at a festival than being still and serene to a backing track of windchimes jostling gracefully against one another.

Yoga in particular is something I took up in 2020 for back pain and persisted with for both the increased lumbar support and the peace of mind. Luckily, I have best friends who are aware of this dichotomy of interests, and whisked me away to Powerscourt Springs Health Farm for my 30th birthday, where the best of both worlds of experiences awaited.
