Hotel Chocolat wants to its first site in North Wales. The upmarket chocolatier hopes to take on an empty unit at Parc Llandudno . It was occupied by home and fashion brand Laura Ashley but has been empty since the pandemic.
Now the UK chocolate firm could take it on. They would have a gift store on site as well as a 'Velvetiser' cafe. The company says the move would create 20 jobs in the town.
This plan follows news Shoe Zone wants to take on the former TUI site on the same retail park. "Hotel Chocolat intends to use Unit 8B as part of its emerging format to complement existing smaller units that are typically located in more traditional town centres.
The occupier will lay out part of the ground floor to accommodate their in-house 'Velvetiser' cafe and will have some back of house circulation space and storage behind." The first.
