Notably, Honor’s flavour of Android, MagicOS, still feels like it is trying too hard to feel like the iPhone rather than a unique and consistent implementation that Honor can claim as its own and build up an emotional connection with the user. Software updates remain at 4 years of Android updates and 5 years of security updates. With Samsung and Google offering seven years of software and security, Honor’s luxury handset is out of step with the competitors. Yet the hardware does showcase two new advances in the display and the camera.
