Hickory FC won a critical road game in dramatic fashion on Saturday. The win put Hickory in second place in the Southeast Conference of the National Premier Soccer League. Hickory was trailing Bristol 2-1 with the clock winding down.
Hickory got a pair of goals in the final minutes — one from Diego Fernandez in the 92nd minute and one from Tomas Pollachi in the 94th to give Hickory a 3-2 win. With the win, Hickory FC improves its record to 7-3-1, 6-2-1 in league play. The victory clinches a playoff spot for Hickory and puts them in the running for homefield advantage in the playoffs.
