Having played host to Formula 1 and the Super Bowl, the destination has garnered more attention than ever. And with these marquee sporting events came a slew of head-turning additions to Sin City.

The arrival of the long-awaited Fontainebleau and Sphere certainly played key roles in this, but several other new spots around town are also creating some buzz. Here, we take a closer look at some of the most recent openings on the Las Vegas Strip and beyond that are worth checking out this summer. Having gained a cult-like following in Los Angeles (Funke is also behind the equally popular Felix Trattoria in Venice Beach), it was one of the most anticipated restaurants to open at the new Fontainebleau Las Vegas and the James Beard–nominated chef has certainly delivered. An homage to the Eternal City and Roman cuisine, the stars are the handmade pastas, particularly the fettucini al burro and rigatoni all’Amatriciana. Just don’t forget to start with the succulent blue prawns dressed in a green garlic salsa verde and end with the budino—both so exq.
