Bangor’s joyful, rainbow-laden festival celebrating LGBTQ+ community members is about a week away, but there are events leading up to and following it that you might want to check out. The annual Bangor Pride festival, including a parade down Main Street, is slated for Saturday, June 22, in downtown Bangor. Last year it drew more than 7,000 people, according to Bangor Pride’s website .

at Red Rabbit Bazaar, 54 Columbia St. — Pride trivia night with Priscilla Poppycocks from 6 to 9 p.m.

at the Stage Door, 131 Main St. LGBTQIA+ history trivia will begin at 7:30 p.m.

— Drag show at 8 p.m. at Mad Kat and Company, 393 North Main St.

, Brewer. The show is free and open to those who are 21 years or older. Bangor Pride lists Dynah Thirst, Mama Martini, Seren Serenity, Carmilla Velour, The Cashay Banks, Markie the Mascot and host Roxxxi Kass as the performers.

— A yoga “mini retreat” is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Spiritual Goddess Collective , 16 State St.

— AARP Maine will screen the documentary “Bar Stories from Queer Maine,” at 6 p.m. at Husson University’s Gracie Theater, 180 College Circle.
