Heart Evangelista just took the first step into a new role as president of the Senate Spouses Foundation . On Instagram Stories, the Kapuso Global Fashion Icon took us in on what went down at the event, where her husband, Senate President Chiz Escudero, also gave a speech and said "ngayon may pruweba na tayo, na may puso ang sendo." During the event, Heart wore a white button-down shirt over a denim power suit from YSL.
She was accompanied by her ever-supportive sister, Cam Ongpauco. "I just feel honored and grateful to have your full support," Heart said in her speech. According to Heart, she will continue the work that SPFI started since 1987 and give it a modern approach.
"I’ll try to add a few more sustainability programs that we can help out," she told reporters in an ambush interview. In her Instagram Stories posts, Heart also paid tribute to the late Sen. Miriam Santiago.
"I missed you very much today mama," she wrote as she posted their old photos together. Last week, Heart asked her followers to follow the Senate Spouses Foundation Instagram account as she embarked on a role as the organization’s president. "So shall we begin," she said.
