The UK high streets are set to face another wave of store closures this month, adding to the ongoing retail crisis. Over a dozen retailers have planned for shop closures in July, with some already having closed their doors for good. In a recent development, popular British pub chain Wetherspoon confirmed the closure of 36 pubs, despite achieving "record levels" of sales with "fewer pubs".

Retail giant The Works, known for its diverse range of arts, crafts, stationery and books, is also set to close a site in Northern England. Other big names including Marks and Spencer , Costa Coffee, WHSmith, Poundland , Robert Dyas, Card Factory and B&M are also set to follow suit, marking a significant loss for shoppers who frequent these stores.
