Delhi-based fashion influencer Nancy Tyagi, known for her DIY recreations of celebrity and pop-culture looks, made a stunning debut at the Cannes Film Festival this week. The social media star, who hailed from a humble background has made it to one of the biggest film festivals in the world. She walked the red carpet in a self-made ruffled floor-length gown, crafted from an astounding 1000 meters of fabric.

This labour of love took 30 days to complete and weighed over 20 kilograms. Nancy shared her red carpet experience on Instagram, posting pictures of her in the gown at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. In her caption, she reflected on the surreal nature of her journey, writing, "Stepping onto the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival as a debutant feels surreal.



I poured my heart and soul into creating this pink gown. The journey has been intense, but every moment was worth it." She expressed her gratitude, adding, "I'm overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for the love and support from all of you.

This is a dream come true, and I hope my creation dazzles you as much as your support has inspired me." The blush pink gown, which features a strapless silhouette, a sequinned corseted bodice, and layers of tiered ruffles forming the skirt and long train, was styled to perfection. Nancy completed the look with sheer pink opera gloves, a dainty necklace, matching earrings, a bracelet, and a statement ring, making for an unforgettable debut.
