The fourth round of the 2024 French Open began on Sunday as top players on both the men's and women's sides competed for a spot in the quarterfinals. On the men's side, Jannik Sinner struggled in his opening set, though he was able to rebound in dominant fashion. French Open favorite Carlos Alcaraz breezed to a straight-set victory, while Stefanos Tsitsipas came back from a set-down against clay-court specialist Matteo Arnaldi.

Alcaraz and Tsitsipas will face off in the quarterfinal for the second straight year, with Tsitsipas looking to avenge last year's straight-set loss. In the women's draw, Iga Swiatek played her best match yet, double-bageling her opponent, while Coco Gauff limited her opponent to just three games total. If each player is able to win their quarterfinal match, Swiatek and Gauff will face off against each other, with the winner earning a spot in the final.
