Isabel Clarós There are nights that turn out to be magical, either due to the celebration of a noteworthy event, because the organization is excellent, or because the guests are in the mood to have a good time. Thursday night in Barcelona turned out to be magical because there was a perfect harmony between these three factors: Cordón Negro, the most exported cava from Freixenet, celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand party organized by MKTG. Guests from nearly 20 countries gave it their all on the dance floor.
The party aimed to reflect the atmosphere of the 70s, when Cordón Negro was born, and at the entrance of the Esklandestino space, on México street, in front of the Caixafórum, there were many fashion accessories to complete the look, from disco ball pendants to glasses of all shapes and colors. The dance floor was filled with hits from Abba, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, and Bruno Mars. To introduce each musical decade, there were performances by Nil Barberá and the dance troupe from the TV show Eufòria on TV3.
Pere Ferrer, Andreas Brokemper, and Martina Obregón on the photocall at the party At the fun party there were also emotional moments, such as during the brief speeches made by Freixenet's CEOs Pere Ferrer and Andreas Brokemper. Ferrer recalled that the idea for Cordón Negro came from his father José (98), who was then in charge of the winery, and who wanted a cava that contrasted with the transparent bottle of Car.
