Half term is just over a week away and with any luck the weather should be nice so getting out and about with the kids will be vital if trying to keep them occupied. But with many people strapped for cash these days, heading out for a day trip often needs to be cheap or even better - free. Bristol is teeming with great places that are tailored towards children that are completely free.

From museums with interactive exhibits to parks with hundreds of acres to run around and trees to climb on or even National Trust sites holding sessions for children just for half term, there is plenty going on.
