Business tycoon and founder of , Kingsley Cooper, has passed away at the age of 71. Cooper reportedly died at a medical facility in Florida, USA, on Tuesday. Born in Kingston on June 3, 1953, Cooper attended Kingston College and furthered his education at the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School.

He worked as an attorney at law from 1975 to 1980. He later transitioned into the entertainment industry, becoming a prominent figure as the founder of Pulse Modelling Agency, Fashion Production, and General Entertainment Company in 1980. Under his leadership, Pulse quickly became a leading name in fashion and entertainment and was listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.



Cooper was instrumental in spotlighting supermodels across the Caribbean and is well-remembered for initiatives such as Caribbean Model Search, Caribbean Fashion Week, the lifestyle TV program Caribbean Fashion Weekly, and The Search for the Caribbean’s Next Supermodel. His contributions to the modeling industry earned him the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander in 2007. Cooper is survived by his daughter, Safia, who now leads .
