Fashion company Sejung announced on July 2nd that it held a commemorative event at Lotte Hotel Busan on July 1st to celebrate its 50th anniversary and unveiled a new vision for becoming a 100-year enterprise. Founded in 1974 as 'Dongchun Textile Industry Co.,' Sejung has grown over the past 50 years to operate 12 brands, establishing itself as a leading fashion specialty retail and lifestyle group in Korea.
With the founding philosophy of "imbuing products with soul," Sejung has prioritized quality in its management strategy, and it owns renowned brands such as 'Wellmade,' 'Olivia Lauren,' and 'Didier Dubot.' To commemorate its 50th anniversary, Sejung announced a new vision of becoming a "global lifestyle management group leading changes in life." The company outlined growth strategies including collaboration with external experts, adoption of AI and digital technologies, cultivation of global brands, and management based on sharing and mutual growth.
In his commemorative speech, Chairman Park Soon-ho expressed gratitude to the employees and customers, saying, "We turned numerous crises, including the IMF, global economic crisis, and COVID-19, into opportunities, shaping the current Sejung." He emphasized the company's commitment to becoming a 100-year enterprise. The event was attended by notable figures such as Busan Mayor Park Hyung-joon, BNK Financial Group Chairman Bin Dae-in, and actors Namkoong Min, Lee Ji-ah, and Park Sung-hoon, who are brand ambassadors for Sejung's.
