While the restaurant was relaunched in 2022, there’s a newly appointed Head Chef Antonio ‘Lello’ Favuzzi, with a résumé that includes stints at The Wolseley (a London institution) and at the members-only Mortimer House. In an eye-catching space of towering palms, stone Tuscan-inspired fireplaces and glowing lantern lights, this is the place for earthy, Italy-forward fare like black fig salad with smoked ricotta (a must-try starter); perfectly cooked veal chops; and silky langoustine carpaccio, served with a bright smack of citrus. Housed in the middle of the gorgeous restaurant, the restaurant’s bar is a perfect spot for a pre-prandial Belvedere Spritz, made with sparkling Soave wine from Veneto, plus refreshing blood orange and peach soda.
