Meta’s new in-stream advertisement features for creators to get monetised is set to benefit Nigerians with large followings on Facebook or Instagram. Creators who are eligible for this feature must meet several requirements. According to the tech giant, some general requirements include: “Pass and remain compliant with Facebook’s Partner Monetisation policies, be at least 18 years old and reside in a country that is eligible for in-stream ads.
The firm also noted that there are several requirements to earn from video-on-demand. “Creators must have at least 5,000 followers. They must also have 60,000 total minutes viewed in the last 60 days.
This can include on-demand live or previously live videos. This, however, does not include minutes viewed from crossposted, boosted or paid watch time,” it said. “Your page must have at least five active videos.
Videos can be on-demand or previously live, but this does not include active crossposted videos.” Importantly, to keep your eligibility for monetisation, you must continue to meet eligibility requirements, or you may lose access to in-stream ads. Meta noted eligibility requirements for live videos and that creators must have a minimum of 10,000 followers.
