An icon has confirmed they have left the BBC One soap. Bad guy Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo) made his debut back in 2006, along with the rest of his family. Dean was a fan favourite with fans until his first exit in 2008.

And in 2014, Dean returned - only this time he quickly became one of the soap’s nastiest villains. As fans will recall he ended up raping Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) and attempted to do the same to Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simmons). Dean left for the second time in 2016, but seven years later he made a shock comeback - much to the horror of Linda.



And it didn’t take long for him to continue to make her life hell. He also became one of the many men involved in The Six storyline, in the lead up to . After Linda killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) on Christmas Day, the rest of The Six ladies helped cover up the crime by burying his body under the cafe.

But in typical soap fashion, Keanu’s body was discovered. In a bid to not get caught, the women ended up framing sicko Dean - and was sent behind bars. What’s more, spoilers for the soap reveal that he will soon face trial for the murder - that he didn’t actually commit.

However, it appears that the end is near for Dean. In a recent interview, actor Matt Di Angelo confirmed that he has now left the soap - at least for now. Speaking to The Sun, he said: “I know the result of the trial, because we've filmed it already.

I can tell you - but I won't because it would ruin the television." The actor then compared.
