Nigerian music sensation, Di­vine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has won two awards at the 2024 American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) London Music Awards with his song, ‘Calm Down’ featuring Amer­ican actress, Selena Gomez. ‘Calm Down’ clinched the coveted ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Top Streaming Song’ awards. The wins bring Rema’s, AS­CAP’s awards tally to three; the most by a Nigerian/Afri­can artiste.

The song’s co-writers and co-producers, Michael Hunter popularly known as London, and Andre Vibez were also credited as winners. So far, Rema is the most awarded African artist in 2024, with six awards won. He has won 1 Trends Awards in Brazil, 1 iHeartRadio Music award, 1 ASCAP Pop Music award and 2 ASCAP London Music awards.
