After a headline-making debut in New York and a theatrical follow-up in London (featuring performances from Annie Lennox and a heavily pregnant Sienna Miller), for 2024 Vogue World takes Paris. An homage to French fashion and sports, unfolded at Place Vendôme in the 1st arrondissement, and linked a specific sport to each decade in fashion from the 1920s on. Naturally, the casting was major, with supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner both walking in the show.
Also there: rising model (and daughter of Italian siren ) , who appeared in the equestrian section of Vogue World: Paris, a celebration of 1950s style. And what could be more emblematic of the era than Dior’s Bar jacket, which was first unveiled as part of Monsieur Dior’s groundbreaking New Look in 1947. Cassel walked the runway wearing one of five Bar suits that featured in the show.
The jacket – in a bold shade of red – was a perfect choice for Deva, who is a friend of Dior and regularly appears on the front row at Maria Grazia Chiuri’s shows – a little like her mother, who typically makes the trip to Paris for Dior’s couture presentations. Deva revived the spirit of the ’60s at Dior’s autumn/winter 2024 show, dressed in a trench coat printed with black and white maps of Paris..
