Readers slammed the latest study of Coventry being ranked the best student city in the Midlands. One said the city 'is c*** now' and is 'nothing but students' while another said the student population has made Coventry 'alive again'. Coventry was ranked the best student city according to the QS Best Student Cities 2025 rankings.
The city was also listed among the top four best in the UK alongside Manchester, London, and Newcastle. The rankings were based on a range of factors from employer activity, desirability, student view, student mix, and affordability. Coventry was praised for its strong rating from graduate employers due to its long history of 'leadership in manufacturing and design' with Coventry University being one of the few institutions offering a course dedicated to automotive design.

They also added that there's lots for students to 'see and do' with Warwick Arts Centre being one of the largest in the UK and houses 'performance spaces, galleries and a cinema'. It added: "Today, the city offers a vibrant cultural scene with its fair share of late-night bars, restaurants, cafés, shopping centres, and various entertainment and music venues.
