Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce members, partnering organizations and supporters gathered near the London Bridge this week to celebrate community leaders and their impact on the Lake Havasu City community. The chamber honored participants Friday evening for their achievements in hospitality, business outreach, efforts in bettering their community - and special recognition for the 2024 Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year, City Councilman David Lane. The vent featured food, refreshments and a 1980s theme at the Shugrue's Restaurant Bridgeview Room, as many participants attended in fashions - and enjoyed musical selections - which were highlights of American culture 40 years ago.

Those celebrated on Friday also included Chamber Ambassador of the Year Cheryl Ramsden, of the National Bank of Arizona; Leadership of Lake Havasu Distinguished Alumni (and City Councilwoman) Jeni Coke; "Rising Star" Rick Riegler, of the Lake Havasu Marine Association; "Bridge to Business" award winner Joelle Dickinson, of the London Bridge Resort; and "Spirit of Hospitality" award winner, Western Arizona Vocational Education (WAVE). Also recognized were Chamber Volunteer of the Year Ross Johnson; "Elevating Havasu" award winners, the Lake Havasu Rotary Club; "Ethics in Business" award winners Janene Samp and Kenny Samp, of Sunset Charter and Tours; "Community Enhancement" award winners, Desert Land Group; and "Pinnacle Award" winner, the London Bridge Resort..
