CHARLES Barkley was disgusted by what he saw out of the Boston Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. After pulling out a 3-0 lead in the series, the Celtics produced one of their worst games of the entire season to lose Game 4. The Dallas Mavericks won in dominant fashion, taking down Boston 122-84, and Barkley was vocal about the Celtics' poor effort.
"That was embarrassing by the Celtics," he said. "They actually thought the Mavs were gonna quit." Barkley explained that the Celtics gave the Mavericks a chance to win from the start.
"We said if the Celtics come out just jacking up jumpers, going through the motions, Dallas has a chance," he said. "I'm not going to give any diss to the Mavs, congratulations. Good win.
