This year marks its 30th anniversary and, to celebrate and raise much-needed funds, the charity held its Horse Racing Summer Season Luncheon at the K Club.

Hosted by television presenter Glenda Gilson, it kicked off with a Roku Gin reception accompanied by the music of Manila Strings before guests sat down to a delicious three-course lunch with wines sponsored by Irish Distillers. The ‘Style for the Season’ fashion show by Kildare Village followed, providing guests with inspiration on the latest trends and how to wear them, while a raffle and silent auction had everyone crossing their fingers for a few extra treats to take home. An intriguing panel discussion then took place where horse trainer Lorna Fowler of Rahinston Farm & Stud in Co Meath caught up with renowned Irish horse trainer Jessica Harrington, New York and Irish based philanthropist and celebrated racehorse owner Eleanora Kennedy, and retired Irish jockey turned TV presenter Fran Berry, who all shared fascinating tales about their lives and careers along with thoughts on the 2024 summer racing calendar.



Finally, tenor Paul Byrom entertained guests after dessert was served, providing the perfect finish to an elegant afternoon. It .
