Turkish-based brand, Siedrés, which is best known for its eclectic, Y2K-inspired designs, just launched a sun-soaked collection with Mango. The collaboration, which comes off the heels of the highly successful , is a celebration of 2000s beach club style, characterised by bold colours, playful patterns, and a carefree, bohemian spirit. To learn more about the 51-piece collection, chatted exclusively with the brand’s creative director and founder, Ceylin Turkkan, on how the two brands first came together, what kind of woman she envisions wearing the collection and her favourite pieces.
“Partnering with a high-street brand like Mango gives us the opportunity to reach new audiences and share our passion for beauty, elegance and vibrant design on a larger scale, creating a collection that is both unique and accessible,” Turkkan tells of why she was keen on collaborating. The collection highlights Turkkan’s intricate use of crochet and embroidery, as well as some of the label’s signature motifs, such as the hibiscus flower print, which Turkkan says is “a cornerstone of the collection”, and which “evokes memories of sun-soaked days by the shore.” “We drew on festive colours that bring a sense of joy and celebration, mirroring the lively palettes we love to use,” adds Turkkan.
