Carlos Alcaraz already has tattoos to commemorate his previous Grand Slam triumphs (Image: GETTY) Carlos Alcaraz will get a tattoo of the Eiffel Tower to celebrate his first French Open title after becoming the new Spanish king of clay. At a tournament which began with probably Rafael Nadal ’s final defeat here, the Wimbledon champion finished the fortnight as a three-time Grand Slam champion at the age of 22. The 14-time Roland Garros champion Nadal immediately sent his congratulations for this “immense victory” after Alcaraz battled back to beat Alexander Zverev in a five-set rollercoaster final.

The German had beaten Nadal in the first round. The 2022 US Open winner is the first man to win his first three Grand Slam titles on different surfaces - hardcourt, grass and now clay. He celebrated his first two wins by inking the dates on first his arm and then his leg.
