Father’s Day may not have the same glitz as mom’s special day, but there’s lots to be said about honouring our fathers, or the dads in our lives. For starters, Canadians are spending big on the big guy. Recent stats from the National Retail Federation shows Father’s Day spending for 2024 is an eye popping $22.
4 billion industry, with three quarters of North American consumers planning to “purchase a gift for a father or stepfather, followed by those purchasing gifts for a husband, son, brother, friend or grandfather.” People will be spending on average around $189.81 for dad, a slight dip from last year’s total, with 58% spent on greeting cards, followed by clothing and special outings.

Personalized greeting cards, sustainable fashion and accessories, the latest in electronic gadgets — especially those that promote a healthy lifestyle — unique experiences like outdoor adventures, and cooking classes, according to Cleverads.com .
