Saturday, June 22, 2024 AMERICAN LEGION MEETING: Adirondack Post 70 of the American Legion will hold its monthly meeting on Saturday, June 22, at 10am. 34 West Avenue, Saratoga Springs. GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY MEETING: The Capital District Genealogical Soc invites family historians to join our program.
1-3pm at the Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library and via Zoom. This month’s presentation is “How Alice the Genealogist Avoids the Rabbit Hole.” Lisa Louise Cooke, CEO of Genealogical Gems, will review the concrete strategies for staying focused on what matters most in your family history research, while not losing track of opportunities that present themselves.
She will share tech tools that when implemented will facilitate increased efficiency and productivity. Attendance is open to members of CDGS and after 6/15 to the public. A maximum of 100 attendees are allowed to participate over Zoom.

The celebration features freedom- and Juneteenth-themed arts and crafts, storytelling, food, and performances, with ongoing activities and timed events inside and outside the Museum. Drop-in craft-making activities, organized by the Tang team of educators who organize Family Saturdays, include a community wall hanging made of paper chains and decorative bowls woven with yarn. Black-owned businesses will have items for sale, including clothing, hand-crafted .
