Celebrity baker Buddy “Cake Boss” Valastro’s bakery abruptly closed its doors at The Outlets at Wind Creek Bethlehem. Carlo’s Bake Shop closed for good on June 14 at the outlet center, 77 Wind Creek Boulevard. Valastro is known from the TV show “Cake Boss” on the TLC network.
It’s unclear what led to the bakery’s closure. “We regret to announce that Carlo’s Bakery at Wind Creek has closed,” says a sign on the bakery door. “We appreciate your support and loyalty over the years.
” The chain’s original Hoboken location remains open as well as the popular site in New York City’s Times Square. “We understand their business need to make a quick decision to close, and have begun working diligently to identify a new offering for the space,” said Wind Creek spokeswoman Julia Corwin. Buddy V’s Ristorante Buddy never reopened following the March 2020 COVID-related shutdown . That space became The Sportsbook at Wind Creek Bethlehem in fall 2020.
Carlo’s opened seven years ago amid fanfare with Buddy Valastro and his “famiglia” cutting the ribbon. Valastro’s family members are stars of his TV show. Grace Faugno, the eldest sibling of the Valastro family, got the bakery’s new staff ready for the opening.
The shop was known for its wide variety of cookie.
