A NEW arts venue and 'concept store' has officially opened in Bridgwater following a celebratory launch event. Renowned designer Nathan Slate, who has dressed internationally acclaimed performers and celebrities, opened his new venue in Bridgwater with a launch party that brought members of the community together on Thursday, June 13. Members of the Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce and artists from Somerset and beyond, attended the event at SL-ATE Concept Store on Clare Street before the venue opened to the public the following day.

(Image: Melissa Lewis) Speaking about the launch of his new venue, Mr Slate said: “It was great to be able to finally unveil my new venue, which brings together food and art in a space that is perfect for unwinding and getting creative. “I’m really grateful for all of the support the community in Bridgwater has already shown me, and the interest shown by fellow artists from around the world.
"I look forward to showcasing the best of the art and culinary world here at SL-ATE now that it’s officially open to the public. “Getting the space ready hasn’t been without its challenges, so it’s great to be up and running and focused on what’s next! “I’ll be hosting workshops so that people can try their hand at different art styles, working with other artists on exciting collaborations, and welcoming people to come in and visit, shop, and enjoy some food and drinks.
