Bolton Wanderers chairman, Sharon Brittan was among the winners at a top football awards ceremony. Ms Brittan won the Football Business Trailblazer award at the Women's Football Awards in London last night. Other winners at the event included Manchester United, honoured for its fan engagement, and former Manchester City and England legend Steph Houghton.

And Manchester City striker Bunny Shaw was named Player of the Year after her 21 goals in 18 games for the Women’s Super League runners-up. The ceremony, sponsored by online fashion giant SHEIN, took place in Mayfair in London and was attended by stars including including Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, musician Pixie Lott and Olympic heroes Dame Kelly Holmes and Denise Lewis. Former Chelsea, Juventus and England star Eni Aluko co-hosted the event with Sky Sports presenter Jamie Carragher.



She said: “The 2024 SHEIN Women’s Football Awards was, once again, a landmark moment for the sport. The best of the best were celebrated including Bolton's Sharon Brittan who is a real inspirational role model to women in the football industry. “She has demonstrated a dynamic approach to building up Bolton Wanderers in recent years and is very deserving of this honour.
