A host of sustainable fashion workshops will be returning to Bolton this weekend after the success of the activities with attendees last week. The Future Furnishings workshops will take place at Market Place Shopping Centre, in a unit near the escalators by The Light Bolton cinema, dedicated to upcycling and sustainability. People can join the group from Bolton at Home and the University of Bolton on Saturday, June 29, and Sunday, June 30, for hands-on activities which will promote creative reuse and environmental awareness.

On Saturday, there will be fashion workshops with Emma Fazackerley and Khadijah Mulla with a collage upcycle workshop, including pin on denim patch advice, from 11.30am to 12.30pm.



People will transform old denim into unique fashion pieces with creative collage techniques. There is also a make a plant pot and denim upcycle at 1pm where people will learn to upcycle denim into stylish plant pots and other creative items. A drop-in sewing skills session will run from 2.

30pm to 4pm where people will also be able to receive help with ongoing projects. On Sunday, there will be a sustainability for children session with Leanne Lewis, Khadijah Mulla, and Lucia Bradley at 12pm where youngsters will listen to stories that teach the importance of caring for the environment.
