It would be an understatement to say it has been tough sledding down at the dome this season. The Blue Jays entered their game Wednesday against the visiting White Sox as the dubious owners of a 21-26 record, good for last place in the American League East Division, and fresh off being shut out 5-0 by Chicago, the team with the worst record in the American League, one night earlier. It’s a far cry from the lofty pre-season expectations.

Many fans and followers viewed the team as playoff-worthy, but that seems like somewhat of a pipe dream at this juncture. And while a photo making the rounds on social media Wednesday night might not be worth a thousand words, it did seem to sum up the current mood. Wednesday was Yusei Kikuchi Bobblehead Giveaway Night at the Rogers Centre, with the collectible available to the first 15,000 in attendance.

I've seen about a dozen people showing up to this Jays game, getting the bobblehead giveaway, turning around, and leaving rather than watching the Blue Jays-White Sox ballgame they bought tickets for lmao pic.twitter.com/6imf4XJzCp Bobblehead giveaway are always a hit among fans, but snagging a souvenir and hitting the road before entering the stadium to watch the game? That’s a statement.
