HEAVEN SCENT – The 16th annual Lavender Festival from 9 a.m. to 4 p.

m. Saturday on Park Circle in the Allegany County Village of Angelica promises to be bigger than ever. Last year's array of 40 vendors has grown to 60, with a variety of new food offerings.

The festival also will pay tribute to one of its founders, Pat Kaake, who lost a battle with Covid-19 last year. A quilt she started several years ago, which was finished by her daughter Shannon, will be raffled. The first 100 customers at Aunt Jan's Eden Grove garden center in the Red Tent will be given lavender plants in her memory.

TIME OF NEED – The West Seneca Chamber of Commerce has launched a monthlong community food drive to benefit local food pantries. Nonperishable food and personal care items can be dropped off from 9 a.m.

to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Chamber office in the West Seneca Community Center, 1300 Union Road, or at the offices.
