Due to some travel, it has been a few weeks since we last visited Bayern Munich ’s loanees. Since then, we have seen multiple titles clinched, a second Bayern loanee finish above them in the table, and Stanišić keeping the Neverlusen magic alive. Some of these entries are a little long-winded, as some of the loanees played three or more games in the time since last writing.
My apologies in advance. See what the loanees did during the Final Countdown (in Europe, not by Europe ) FC Bayern Munich There are eight players on loan from the first team. Germany – Bundesliga There are two players on loan in the German Bundesliga: Alexander Nübel and Josip Stanišić.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart Nübel was in goal against Bayern on Saturday, May 4, and for the second time in this Rückrunde , a Bayern loanee beats his parent club. In typical Nübel fashion, he only needed to record two saves and did not get the shutout, but it was enough to get the job done. No matter the performance, a win against Bayern will make the Bayern execs think.
After defeating Bayern, Nübel and Stuttgart surged to two final shutout wins to overtake Bayern in second place. He only needed one save to beat Augsburg 1-0. His services were required more in the 4-0 win over Mönchengladbach where he recorded five saves in that shutout.
The second place finish leaves the door open for Stuttgart to compete in the DFL-Supercup this summer if Leverkusen completes the domestic double. Josip St.
