Photographs of the newly-wed couple have been circulating on social media and what’s catching everyone’s attention is the scale of the wedding and the guest list. Embroiled in a loan fraud case worth over Rs 900 crore, Vijay Mallya hosted his son’s wedding in a 14 million dollar-estate which is owned by him. Another absconding businessman, Lalit Modi was also part of the ceremonies.



Siddharth Mallya’s wedding has been grabbing eyeballs because of its large scale, given that his father, Vijay Mallya is still embroiled in an loan fraud case worth over Rs 900 crore. Wanted in India, Vijay Mallya had been declared ‘bankrupt’ by UK’s Insolvency and Companies Court of the High Court in July, 2021. The wedding, both Indian and Christian were held in Mallya’s $14 million estate in Hertfordshire, UK and the festivities lasted for a week.

Earlier owned by Anthony Hamilton, father of F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton, the estate was acquired by Vijay Mallya in 2015, a little before h.
