ANDY MOULSDALE says efforts to safeguard the future of North Wales Crusaders have started in positive fashion. Earlier this month, Crusaders made an appeal to supporters to help secure the club’s long-term future as well asking individuals interested in investing in the club to form expressions of interest. The #BackTheCru campaign is looking to raise £10,000 to ensure the club remains a sustainable enterprise and carries the ability to attract potential investment going forward.
Crusaders’ CEO Moulsdale told CruCast: “It’s been good. We need to do more. We need to push it on.
I think we’ve been supported really well by our fans and the sort of nucleus we have. “I think the idea of it was try to engage the wider fan base and maybe people we’ve lost and get them to games and we’ll continue to do that this week and the next week and the coming weeks.” The appeal for support comes on the back of a testing 2023 season, when Crusaders didn’t have a permanent home base.
Work at the Stadiwm CSM base in Colwyn Bay meant Crusaders had to utilise five different home grounds over the course of the year. “We coped remarkably well last year and navigated through that and the things we put in place in pre-season, over the off-season,” said Moulsdale. “We’ve done a lot of what we thought was good work in terms of making season tickets affordable and a lot of the off-field stuff and we’ve tried to.
