THEY were one of the most iconic trends in the 90s and early 2000s and they have now returned to shelves. But fashion fans are crying as the once very popular trend has emerged in Primark . Perfectly paired with denim shorts, low-rise jeans or skirts slung low on the hips, baby tees were a staple of 90s popular culture.

The cropped, tight fitting t-shirts ended just above the waist and were seen as a wardrobe basic - as they could be styled up or down, for a variety of different occasions. They adorned the torsos of some of the biggest icons of the time - Britney Spears , Gwen Stefani , Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Aniston , to name just a few. The tees came in just about every colour with graphics, slogans and even crystal bedazzling too.



And they’re now back, and just as short and slim-fitting as before. We’ve seen celebrities including Olivia Rodrigo , Dua Lipa , Bella Hadid , Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner welcome the return of baby tees, but not everyone seems to be keen. Primark took to social media to show off their new baby tee - a white, cropped, t-shirt, with red cherry detailing in the centre.

The clip was posted with the caption ‘In our cherry girl era’ and in the short video, we saw a close-up look of the new baby tee, alongside a pair of high-rise, blue denim shorts, and a red shoulder bag to match.
