Actress Arpita Chatterjee today announced her directorial venture, a docu-series titled This Is Me , during an inspiring event commemorating Pride Month. The event was attended by filmmaker Onir, interdisciplinary artist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee, fashion designer Abhishek Ray , digital marketing professional Chaitanya Sharma and percussionist Ratul Shankar, among others. This Is Me, an English-language docu-series, aims to redefine societal perspectives on the LGBTQIA+ community.

The series seeks to dispel myths and provide a comprehensive understanding of the community through scientific, cultural, and historical lenses. Embracing a global perspective, this series features insights from a diverse spectrum of international experts, medical professionals, LGBTQIA+ members, legal authorities, and academic scholars. By providing an intimate look at the science, legality, and socio-cultural challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community, the series promises to engage and enlighten viewers.



The series highlights prominent members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including India's first transgender judge Joyita Mondal, India's first trans celebrity hair designer Sylvie Rodgers, and interdisciplinary artist Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee.
