All eyes were on today as the house presented its latest collection during . Alas, it wasn’t just the usual gathering of tweed-clad glamazons congregating in the city of love to witness a new collection of seismic chic that had the sleuths on the edge of their seats, as mere weeks ago it was announced that Virgine Viard would be leaving her role as Creative Director, the position she’s held at the French heritage house for the past five years. Today wasn’t only about ushering in a new season of style, it was marking the end of an era.

Without a honcho to take a bow at the end of the line-up (Viard herself was not in attendance), the of the house’s Fashion Creation Studio took on the challenge of authoring today’s impressive catalogue of ultra-covetable couture. It was certainly a poignant moment, and one that had the fashion crowd on tenterhooks.
