Amphibious Aquatics announced that registration is now open for summer sessions of its water safety initiative which launched in early 2024. In an effort to increase the community capacity and combat Guam's devastating statistic of now more than one fatal drowning a month, summer registration is now open for Drown-Free Guåhan Initiative training sessions via www.amphibiousguam.

com . The DFG Summer sessions will again consist of two groups. One targets youth ages 5 to 17 in coordination with a parent or caregiver; the other is a separate training for adult non-swimmers 18 years and over.

Held at the Pacific Islands Club in Tumon on July 5, 12, and 13, each 30-minute session will focus on basic water safety, developing awareness, and learning how to minimize the risks of drowning. The Drown-Free Guåhan Initiative is brought to the community by Amphibious Aquatics in partnership with the Guam Visitors Bureau, Micronesian Air Cargo Services Guam, Pacific Islands Club, Cycles Plus/Kawasaki, Top Model Fashion, IP&E Shell, and with support from the KUAM Careforce, Fökai Industries, Guam Fire Department, Tano & Tasi Water Safety, Musashi671, and Swim League Philippines. “We encourage our community to take the first step towards a safer future and join us for a DFG Summer session.

We look forward to increasing awareness, enhancing readiness and continuing to do our part to make Guam a safer place to live, work and visit,” said Andy Lee, head coach of Amphibious Aquatics. “.
