The Britain’s Got Talent 2024 auditions came to an end this weekend in spectacular style, as some adorable family members made an appearance. We’ve had weeks of weird and wonderful auditions – from child singers leaving the judges in tears to AI acts dividing opinion. But the competition is only set to get more heated from now, as the live semi-finals loom.
Before that, though, there was time for one more Golden Buzzer. Plenty have been dished out this time in a series first, with all rules thrown out of the window and the panel pressing the coveted buzzer well more than once each to send an act through. There was a twist for the last Golden Buzzer, however, as Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden’s children got involved.
During the final episode on Sunday, Japanese skipping dancers Haribow, who somersaulted across the stage doing various tricks, left the judges almost speechless. They received a standing ovation from the audience and numerous pleas for a Golden Buzzer, which are generally used only by the judges and hosts. Alesha Dixon said she had ‘none left’ regarding the buzzers, along with Bruno Tonioli, while Simon said that he ‘did not know what to say’.
