The King's Birthday Honours for 2024 has been announced, and hundreds of people from London have made the list. The awards, which range from knighthoods through to orders of the British Empire, which include CBE (Commander), OBE (Officer) and MBE (Member). The awards celebrate the contributions well-known personalities, government employees and ordinary people have made to society.

People who made the New Year's Honours list six months ago included Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and England goalkeeper Mary Earps. And now, the list of Londoners who have been awarded honours this summer has been released. On the list this time around include the artist Tracey Emin, actresses Imelda Staunton and Rose Ayling-Ellis, and rugby referee Wayne Barnes.
