share 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 Building on the success of last year’s blockbuster Barbie , Mattel and Universal Pictures are now collaborating on a live-action Monster High movie, drawing from the popular doll line introduced in 2010. The film will spotlight the stylish offspring of famous monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Mummy, known respectively as Draculaura, Frankie Stein, and Cleo de Nile. Academy Award-winning filmmaker Akiva Goldsman, known for his work on Constantine , Batman & Robin , and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds , is set to pen and produce the film, as per Variety .

His involvement suggests an ambitious approach to bringing the beloved teenage characters and their unique fashion sensibilities to the big screen. Robbie Brenner, president of Mattel Films, expressed enthusiasm about the project, noting, “ Monster High helps fans discover the great beauty in being true to yourself and celebrates the unique sensibilities at the core of who we are as individuals,” She emphasised the film’s commitment to delivering a message that resonates with audiences globally. The Monster High brand isn’t new to adaptations, previously inspiring a YouTube animated web series, TV specials, animated movies, and a collection of video games for the Nintendo DS.



“I’ve been fascinated by Monster High since my daughters were obsessed with the dolls as kids,” Goldsman shares his personal connection to the project, “I’m thrilled to once again join forces with Robbie Br.
