Puck News reported that a follow-up to the original 2006 film is being worked out. But it's not yet known whether Anne Hathaway will return as Andy Sachs in the Disney motion picture.

However Emily Blunt is set to return as Emily Charlton - who we last saw as Priestley's long-suffering assistant. According to Variety, The Devil Wears Prada screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is in talks about a return to pen the sequel. Early reports have indicated the movie will tell the story of Priestly going up against her former colleague Charlton, who is now a high-powered executive.

She told E! News: "I don't think a continuation of that story is probably ever gonna happen." Hathaway joked the trio will 'continue to give out awards.
