returned in spectacular fashion as thousands flocked to the Merseyside town for the magnificent displays. As the returned to the town after their display last year was called off due to the wet weather and reduced to a fly-by on the opening day. This year, all went to plan, as the Red Arrows wowed crowds, with the showpiece event taking place after the much-loved Typhoon flew over the coastal resort.

The air show ran from 10am until 7pm on Saturday, with displays taking place from 1.30pm before they finished with the Red Arrows at 5pm. While aircrafts filled the cloudy sky in Southport, there were also plenty of activities taking place on the ground, including flight simulators, static aircraft and military vehicles to explore.



Luckily for those who headed to the town for the display, the rain stayed off and visitors managed to enjoy the show while keeping dry. The ECHO was there to capture some magnificent photographs of the show, with the same expected on the Sunday..
