A THEME park with a gravy-themed roller coaster is the first of its kind. The unique attraction opened in a Midwestern town with a Christmas -themed moniker. Holiday World & Splashin' Safari in Santa Claus, Indiana is home to the Good Gravy! roller coaster.

The thrilling ride took $10 million to build and spans 1,500 feet. Riders fasten up on a gravy boat-shaped train through a tunnel designed as a cranberry sauce can. From there they head up 72-feet in the air before a drop backwards.



Owner of the park , Leah Koch-Blumhardt, commented on the new attraction. "After years of planning, it's heart-warming to see Good Gravy! come to life," Koch-Blumhardt said in a statement. "This isn't the tallest or fastest coaster to open in North America this year, but it certainly has the most heart.

"We've loved hearing feedback from the thousands of Guests who have already ridden with their whole family. "Family fun is what Holiday World is all about." The Holiday World theme park has different sections representing American holidays.

The Good Gravy! roller coaster is located in the Thankgiving-themed area of the park. The ride takes adventurous travelers through character Grandma Gracy's house, with all the details of a grandparent's home — like a Sear's catalogue. Co-owner Lauren Crosby commented on the themes of the ride.
