Worldwide airlines are initiating new routes and enhancing flight frequencies in India, positioning it as an emerging travel hub expected to flourish in the coming decade, as noted by airline executives and market experts. India stood out as a key focus during the world’s premier meeting of airline leaders and aircraft leasing entities in Dubai this past week, spurred by a sharp rise in both domestic and international flights.

Projections suggest that India’s domestic flight market could swell to 300 million travelers, up from a record-setting 152 million in 2023, based on government statistics. Moreover, the international passenger volume is anticipated to accelerate even more rapidly, with projections of reaching 160 million by 2030, up from 64 million the previous year, according to forecasts by aviation analysts at CA India.
